When I left a stressful corporate position in mid-2008, I was 50 lbs. overweight, had terrible eating habits, got very little exercise and was exhausted. I started a journey to a healthier lifestyle by doing Pilates, walking and cardio workouts and getting enough sleep. I began to have more energy, feel better and initially lost about 16 lbs. A year ago, I started counting my calories and added Xtend Barre to my workout regiment. At times my thighs have been shaking, my muscles have been screaming and I am soaked in sweat, but Xtend Barre has toned my muscles and made me feel stronger. I have lost an additional 23 lbs. and my hips, which are my problem area, are almost 4 inches smaller! I definitely feel that Xtend Barre has helped me get stronger, become more toned and given me longer leaner muscles. I have 10 lbs. more to lose and Xtend Barre is part of my plan to get there.

Xtend Barre has been one of the best programs that I've been introduced to, it has truly changed my life mentally and physically. As a pageant contestant being physically fit is extremely important for the swimsuit competition. Although I've always had trainers, my body never really had the cut and sculpture until I started Xtend Barre. Xtend Barre has helped me with my presence, posture and my poise for stage. Xtend Barre helps me work those hard to reach areas in my core part of the body. I also appreciate that I get a full body workout, including upper body, lower body, balance/core, Cardio and an awesome stretch at the end. After having two children it's hard to tone certain areas from the baby weight, and Xtend Barre has helped me focus on toning those difficult to reach areas. I also love how great I feel mentally, stretched, flexible and balanced. I found Xtend Barre half way through my pregnancy at 20 weeks. I always enjoyed exercising, but needed a cardio and strength program to accommodate my changing body. Xtend Barre gave me a challenging and safe pregnancy workout. My instructors are both mothers and sources of inspiration. They have taken the time to educate me on proper form and shown me numerous non-core Xtend techniques that I can perform during the abdominal portion of the class. This has allowed me to stay engaged with my Xtend classmates without disrupting the flow of the program. They continued to encourage me as my pregnancy progressed and I noticed the classes improved my upper and lower body strength, flexibility, and endurance. For the entire second half of my pregnancy, I have taken 2-4 Xtend classes per week and I have thoroughly enjoyed the feeling that I am maintaining a great level of fitness for my baby and my post-delivery body.

I started Xtend Barre when I was pregnant with my third child. I was doing traditional Plates, but asked my studio owner what classes would be better for me as my pregnancy advanced. Dear Andrea,

What have you done with my cellulite?? Never mind, I don´t want it back. Just above my knees, on the inside of the legs had awful cellulite. I haven´t worn a bathing suit or shorts in two years. A few days ago, getting out of my bath, I looked in the mirror and could not find the cellulite I once had. So...I visited two other mirrors in my house - very little cellulite. So...I went shopping and checked out the dressing room mirrors in Bloomingdale´s...okay, maybe I´ll find the cellulite in Saks´ mirrors. Well, I´ve searched everywhere and boy has it diminished. I gave up on my legs after a Plastic Surgeon told me nothing could be done. Well, I guess he doesn´t know about "you" and "Xtend" and after only about 20 classes!!! Can´t wait to see what 20 more classes will do for the rest of me. Andrea, thank you for your professionalism, motivation, caring about all of us, and looking so darn good it inspires me to keep going.

My first introduction to Xtend Barre was with my sister-in-law, Carrie Schaeffer. Carrie said I found a dance class for us, so, as usual, I tagged along. After the first class, I was hooked. Everybody muscle in my body was sore and I could barely walk out of class. I absolutely love the work out. I was always a closet ballerina, so I had to buy a pair of ballet shoes! I have been attending classes (three times a week and striving for four weekly) for almost 14 months now and have lost 15 pounds (and kept the pounds off), went down two full dress sizes, two full pant sizes and can get back into a bikini. The instructors are professionals and really want you to strive to be the best you can be. The classes are amazing, constantly changing, and never boring. I never realized how out of shape I truly was until I started Xtend Barre! I still want to wear a tutu and have a recital, maybe next year!

I started taking Xtend Barre classes when i was 4 months pregnant. I had always taken Pilates but wanted to try something new since i had to cut down on my cardio routine. The Xtend Barre classes were perfect. I felt them strengthening my entire body but was able to keep up without losing my breath. I continued to take them all throughout my pregnancy up until 3 days before i gave birth! I truly believe that i bounced back so quickly because of them. If u look at my pictures u can tell that my arms, legs, and butt stayed tight and slim the entire time because of the classes, they also kept my core strong so the birth of my child was pretty quick. I delivered a healthy 9 pound baby boy on march 19th, 2010 within 20 minutes of checking into the hospital!... I took 2-3 Xtend Barre classes a week and walked 30 min on a treadmill 3x a week. 2 weeks after my baby I was back to my pre-pregnancy weight and I owe it all to the Xtend Barre classes!
